Partnership Gwinnett announced last week that seven Gwinnett-based companies were named as first-round winners of the inaugural Atlanta Metro Export Challenge, a grant program powered by JPMorgan Chase to boost support for small and medium-sized businesses looking to begin exporting or to increase their export programs. Each company will receive a $5,000 grant to grow exports.
The seven companies are: AdEdge Water Technologies, manufacturer of water filtration systems; Guided Therapeutics, manufacturer of biotech device for detection of cervical cancer; i-Tech e-Services, manufacturer of alternative power generation systems; Lose & Associates, architectural design and planning services firm; Pure Air Filtration, manufacturer of custom air filtration systems; Triatek Holdings, manufacturer of scientific and research equipment, and United Controls Inc., producer of safety products and services for harsh environments like nuclear power plants.
Nearly 70 companies applied for 35 available grants. The Atlanta Metro Export Challenge will distribute a total of $210,000 during the competition.
