Gwinnett Commissioners approved a contract Dec. 15 for heating, ventilation and air conditioning system maintenance services at various facilities with low bidder United Maintenance Inc.
The $414,038 one-year contract is a 4.5 percent increase over the 2015 contract of $350,000. The county has spent $298,150 in the eleven months ending in November for 2015.
Gwinnett received seven bids for the work to include comprehensive preventive maintenance and on-call repairs for HVAC units and equipment. The contract also specifies time and material rates associated with repairs and equipment replacements.
