Citizens living in Grayson will choose a mayor and two council members this fall. The currents terms for Mayor Allison Wilkerson and Post 2 Council Member Trenton Arnold and Post 4 Council Member Linda Jenkins expire on the first Monday in Jan. 2018. Anyone interested in running for one of these positions may qualify between 8:30 a.m. Aug. 21 and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 23 in the city clerk’s office at City Hall, 475 Grayson Parkway. The qualifying fee for mayor or city council member is $10.00.

Voter registration forms are available in the office of the City Clerk and other authorized locations. Voter registration deadline is 4:30 p.m. Oct. 10.

Voting will occur 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Grayson Senior Center, 485 Grayson Parkway. Information: city clerk’s office at 770-963- 8017 or www.cityofgrayson.org.
