Grayson approves largest operating budget in city’s history
The Grayson City Council approved a $1.13 million fiscal year 2017 budget Monday. The budget represents an $85,897 increase over the original 2016 budget and is the largest in the city’s history.
Increased revenue is expected to come from an estimated $63,362 more in property taxes. The city’s millage rate will remain the same at 2.1 mills.
Grayson will continue to provide street lights, recycling of lawn debris, stormwater drainage and sanitation pickup for citizens.
