The grandson of a man whose body was found at a Peachtree Corners apartment has been charged with killing him, Gwinnett County police said Tuesday.

Police responded Friday to a request for a welfare check on a man at the Valencia Apartments at 3500 Peachtree Corners Circle near Norcross, said Cpl. Edwin Ritter, Gwinnett police spokesman. Once inside, officers discovered the body of William Andre Stridion, 59. The cause of death was not immediately apparent but during the course of the investigation it was discovered that Stridion, whose body was wrapped in a blanket, had been stabbed, Ritter said.

After investigation, police arrested Stridion’s grandson, 19-year-old Arion Henderson of Lawrenceville, and charged him in the death, Ritter said.

Henderson was charged with murder, aggravated assault, concealing a death and two counts of theft by receiving.

He is being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Jail, Ritter said.
