Global manufacturing company Tyco International will hold a grand opening July 19 for its Lithia Springs location.
The 205,000 square foot facility is the distribution hub for the company’s electronic security and fire suppression and detection products.
“We are honored that Tyco has chosen to expand its presence in Georgia with this new facility,” said Heidi Green, state economic development commissioner. “Georgia’s comprehensive logistics system is one of our key selling assets because it gives companies like Tyco easy, efficient access to their markets.”
The Lithia Springs facility originally opened in December 2009 and employs 125 people.
Tyco has 100,000 employees worldwide, including 900 employees at 16 locations in Georgia. The company’s 2009 revenue was $17 billion.
