A member of the notorious 30 Deep gang has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, the Fulton County District Attorney's Office announced Tuesday.

Javorris Redding, 21, was found guilty by a jury Monday of participation in criminal street gang activity, three counts of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Redding and an unidentified person robbed three people at gunpoint at a Motel 6 in College Park in April 2011, prosecutors said. Authorities said they believe the robbery victims were set up by two women while partying earlier in the evening.

After forcefully entering the hotel room, Redding and his co-conspirator held the victims at gunpoint, pistol whipped one of them and took their possessions, including a 2010 Camaro, authorities said.

When the victims saw the stolen vehicle later in the day in Atlanta, they called 911. Officers caught Redding trying to sell the vehicle's rims, they said. Redding was arrested, and two loaded guns were confiscated.

Two of Redding's relatives and fellow gang members already are in prison.

Redding's older brother George "Keon" Redding, the leader of the 30 Deep gang, is serving two consecutive life sentences plus 40 years for shootings that left two people dead and two others wounded in 2007.

Cousin Jonathan Redding was sentenced to life plus 70 years in prison last year for his role in the 2009 fatal shooting of bartender John Henderson at the Standard Food & Spirits near Grant Park and three other robberies.
