The Fulton County Board of Assessors mailed out annual notices of assessment on last week and property owners have until July 25 to file an appeal if they disagree with the values assigned to them.
Anyone who doesn't receive the notice in a timely manner can go to the assessor's website to look it up: www.qpublic.net/ga/fulton/search.html
If the value doesn't represent what the owner believes a property would sell for on the open market, the assessor's office encourages the owner to file an appeal – preferably online to get confirmation the appeal was received and access to the Appeal Resolution Center: fultoncounty.modria.com/
Appeals also can be filed manually by completing an appeal form and hand-delivering or mailing it to the Tax Assessor’s Office, 235 Peachtreee St. NE, Suite 1200, Atlanta GA 30303.
