The Marietta Police Athletic League (PAL) is offering another summer camp to children and teens - this time online.

In 2007, the Marietta Police Department began the Marietta Police Athletic League (PAL) chapter.

Tax-deductible donations are welcome through MariettaPAL.org.

Formed more than 70 years ago - now with greater than 300 chapters, the National PAL program is designed to use sports as a basis for positive interaction between police officers and children/teens, providing a foundation for good decision making; view nationalPAL.org.

For free, the camp will continue through July 17 for youths ages 6 to 17 in rising first through twelfth grades, according to a city statement.

Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

These camps are offered both live and prerecorded via Marietta PAL’s YouTube Channel at youtube.com/channel/UCb6L45PMxgMAF_bAT1NLcTA and Zoom Channel.

Among the topics will be Health & Fitness, Sports, STEAM, Art, Music and Life Skills,

Marietta PAL encourages registered participants to login and participate at least three times per week.

Program links to Marietta PAL YouTube and Zoom channels will be provided to registered participants only.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and can close at any time since there are a limited number of slots per grade level.
