If you’re a fan of bluegrass, roots, Americana or folk music, there’s a free event for you this weekend in Sandy Springs.
On Saturday, the city will host the Harvest Music Fest on the City Green at 1 Galambos Way. Music and fun runs from 3 to 10 p.m. Did we mention its free?
“We want to create different experiences at City Springs, and the Harvest Music Fest is planned as an upbeat, fun celebration marking the arrival of fall,” Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul said in a statement. “We’ll have local favorites as well as Grammy-nominated talent performing at this free event for the community.”
Here’s the lineup for the festival:
• The City Springs Pickin’ Party with The Gibson Brothers, Sierra Hull, Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley
• Sierra Hull, solo set
• Sailing to Denver, Atlanta-based
• Early James and The Latest, Birmingham-based
The festival will also feature games and activities for kids, and beer and food will be on sale. College football fans will be able to keep up with the scores at nearby CityBar, so you’ll be able to catch the highlights of the Georgia-Florida game while also jamming out to tunes.
