Gwinnett County has issued a rabies alert after a fox found in Loganville tested positive for the disease.

The fox was found Nov. 11 on Hoke O’Kelly Mill Road. Previously, a cat found Oct. 25 in Lawrenceville also tested positive for rabies.

County officials advise anyone who has been bitten or scratched by a stray animal to call Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement at 770-339-3200, Ext. 5576.
