Forsyth County will launch the public engagement process June 20 for a review of the county’s tree ordinance, mass grading regulations and incentives for innovative, low-impact storm water design.

The public input meeting is set for 6 to 8 p.m. in Suite 220 of the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming. A formal presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The issues will be discussed together as they concern the removal of trees and movement of earth during the development process, and are identified as action items in the county’s updated Comprehensive Plan, officials said.

“These tasks are related to policy measures linked to both land use and quality of life, two central elements of the Comprehensive Plan that require action items to be addressed in order to achieve the community’s vision and goals for the future,” said Vanessa Bernstein-Goldman, deputy director of planning and community development.
