The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will give the public a chance to sound off—about additional chances to sound off.

The commission will hold a public hearing 5 p.m. Thursday at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., to get feedback on a proposed change in board rules and procedures to allow for a second comment period during meetings. The board currently has one comment opportunity at the beginning of its sessions.

Board members talked about the possibility at a Jan. 12 work session as a way to allow residents who begin their commutes at roughly 5 p.m. a chance to make the meetings and weigh in on issues before the board. Board members considered the possibility of scheduling the comment period between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m.
