A new community garden has been unveiled at Sexton Hall in Cumming, Forsyth County’s community center for active older adult.

The county’s partners in the project attended the dedication ceremony and tree planting at Sexton Hall, 2115 Chloe Road: the County Extension Service and its master gardeners and naturalists, the Boy Scouts of America, the Thanks Mom & Dad Foundation and several local businesses.

“The garden expands the space available for recreation and relaxation not only for center participants, but the community at large,” said Senior Services Director Ruthie Brew.

The Live Well Garden extends the Senior Services theme of aging well by living a healthy, active lifestyle, officials said. A garden club has been formed, and persons of all ages are invited to participate.
