A man in Cumming was charged Wednesday with possession of child pornography after a search warrant was executed at his home, the GBI said.

Authorities determined that William Guy Hella, 42, had images of child porn on his computer.

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office developed evidence of peer-to-peer sharing of illegal images from an IP address, and the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit said it traced the registration back to Hella.

The GBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant.

Hella is charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of children (possession of child pornography), the GBI said.

He was released from the Forsyth County Jail on a $28,050 bond Thursday afternoon, the sheriff’s office said. He is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on April 25.
