Forsyth County Sheriff’s officials said several major crime cases have been cleared in two counties with a pair of arrests.
The sheriff’’s office said a months-long investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office major crime unit and the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s office robbery unit culminated in the arrests of Dametrius Sims of Snellville and Oshay Howard of Norcross. They said the initial arrests stemmed from a robbery at the Mangia Ristorante on McGinnis Ferry Road in September.
During the probe, law officers said they determined the two were responsible for a half-dozen or so robberies in the two counties.
Criminal arrests warrants were obtained for the two and Sims was being held at the Gwinnett County Adult Detention Center, with Howard jailed in Forsyth County.
