Parents who might be confused by aspects of the new Georgia Milestones tests can get answers at a pair of upcoming Forsyth County Schools meetings.
School officials will hold the 6:30 p.m. meetings Tuesday at Piney Grove Middle School, 8135 Majors Road, Cumming and Jan. 19 at North Forsyth Middle School, 3645 Coal Mountain Drive, Cumming. School district spokeswoman Jennifer Caracciolo said staffers will explain various aspects of the testing process and scoring and will field questions about student reports.
State officials said the Milestones system spans the third grade through high school. Third through eighth-graders take an end-of-grade assessment in each content area and high school students take an end-of-course test in eight state-designated courses.
