A Forsyth County massage studio found guilty on a number of violations of the county’s massage ordinance has had its license pulled by county commissioners.
The commission voted 5-0 Thursday to revoke the license of Healing Touch Enterprises, effective in 30 days. The business was cited for seven violations in a January 23 compliance check and was found guilty of five in magistrate court, including failing to ensure that employees remained fully clothed while with customers and having beds and mattresses on the premises. The business at 1525 McFarland Parkway was cited additionally for several record-keeping and license-display violations. An employee of the business was also arrested on prostitution charges after an undercover sting.
Attorney for business licensee Jeoung G. Shin Alan Begner addressed commissioners during an administrative hearing, asking for another chance for his client and contending that the way the massage ordinance was written violated due process. He promised an appeal — a move that would place any revocation move on hold for the time being.
