Former Sunday Paper editor new citizen advocate

April 7, 2011

Stephanie Ramage, former news editor for Sunday Paper, an alternative weekly, has been hired by the city into a newly created position called citizen advocate.

Mayor Kasim Reed said the new position would provide residents and business owners with an identifiable point of contact within the city to help them resolve problems that have failed to be addressed through traditional channels in various departments, including water and sewer billing, permitting and licensing.

“Stephanie’s track record as a reporter shows that she says what she thinks and she’s not afraid to critique anyone,” Reed said. “I am certain she will work tirelessly…and help make the city address problems in a manner that leads to better, faster and more efficient service.”
