First Marriott, Westin combo to be built in Atlanta

Atlanta-based Noble Investment Group recently broke ground on a dual-brand Courtyard by Marriott and Element by Westin in Midtown Atlanta, according to Asian Hospitality magazine. Company officials said they expect the 282-room hotel to open in mid-2021.

The upscale dual-brand will stand on the corner of Peachtree Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue. Nearby attractions include Fox Theater, the World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium and Centennial Park.

According to the article, Noble worked closely with the city’s Department of City Planning and the Midtown Alliance to ensure the hotel’s exterior design matches the surrounding historic buildings work.

The hotel’s exterior is designed to match the surrounding historic buildings based on close work with the city’s Department of City Planning and the Midtown Alliance. The interior will be split with a Courtyard lobby and an Element lobby, both with modern designs. The Element rooms also will feature full kitchens.

Midtown Atlanta has more than 20 million square feet of office space that house more than 70,000 workers. More than 6.1 million tourists visit Atlanta Midtown annually for its arts and entertainment offerings.
