A ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday to rename the athletic field at Atlanta's Grady Stadium after Eddie S. Henderson, Sr. Henderson was the first black Georgian to become a certified athletic director, and he served as the first black coach at Grady High. He went onto be an assistant principal at Carver High, principal of the defunct Archer High and director of athletics for the district. Henderson passed away in 2001.
