Fayetteville’s police department has opened an online survey about its activities for the first quarter of 2020.

The department is asking for public responses “in order to provide the best possible services to all members of the community.” In addition to asking for basic demographic information, the brief survey asks about feelings of safety and security in the area, which crimes are of greatest concern to residents, whether citizens have had direct contact with police officers in the past year and how those interactions went, and which factors influence attitudes about the department’s public image.

The survey also asks about such programs as neighborhood watch and the citizens’ police academies, and includes space for suggesting new programs and/or general comments. The survey is posted on the city’s website at https://fayetteville-ga.gov/police-survey/ as well as linked to its Facebook page.

Participants do not have to answer every question on the pages.
