Revisions to the 2015-16 Fayette County Public Schools code of conduct for middle and high school students specifically address cyberbullying for the first time. Ted Lombard, coordinator of safety, athletics and discipline, told the board of education Aug. 3 that online bullying that occurs both on and off campus, toward students or staff, will be subject to discipline ranging from suspension to expulsion. The definition includes any electronic communication that “is maliciously intended” or “creates a reasonable fear of harm” to a person or property.
