To help its stakeholders cope with the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Fayette County Public Schools has posted a variety of mental health resources on its website.

Lakisha Bonner, coordinator of the system’s guidance/counseling and career development, shared a newsletter geared toward students and parents and other for employees. Acknowledging the “unprecedented fear and uncertainty” caused by the coronavirus and its effect on daily life, the newsletters offer guidance on maintaining physical and mental health over the summer while schools remain closed, including fun activities for children and families.

The newsletters also link to sources of mental health assistance to help anyone experiencing anxiety, depression, stress or thoughts of suicide.
