Fayette County’s SAT scores rise

Fayette County’s high school graduates posted an average SAT score of 1542 this year, topping the state average by 90 points and the national average by 44. The highest scores – 1633 and 1605 – were at McIntosh and Starr’s Mill, respectively. Sandy Creek had the greatest annual increase, up 28 points from 2011, and Whitewater’s scores rose 10 points over last year. Fayette County’s average was 1423.
