Two Peachtree City men have been appointed by the Fayette County Board of Commissioners to serve on the county’s newly created Water Committee.
The board voted 5-0 on Sept. 13 to confirm the selections of Frank Destadio and Bill Holland for terms that begin immediately and expire in December 2019 for Destadio and December 2021 for Holland. Destadio is a retired civil engineer whose term as the current chairman of the Peachtree City Planning Commission expires this year. Holland, an architectural engineer, is the former chairman of the Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority.
The Water Committee was created by the commission in April “to fully explore water issues concerning Fayette citizens,” including short- and long-term priorities, funding, and community education about water resources.
