Fatal wreck on I-285 near Riverdale Road
Several westbound lanes of I-285 in Clayton County were blocked Thursday morning while authorities worked to clear a fatal wreck involving a wrecker.
The flatbed wrecker crashed before 10 a.m. on I-285 westbound near Riverdale Road, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Three westbound lanes remained blocked at 11:45. One eastbound lane was shut down. Westbound traffic was backed up about three miles behind the wreck site until the scene was cleared.
Police have not yet released information on the person killed in the crash.
