Dozens of football fans were injured Sunday after the Atlanta Falcons' overtime win over the Washington Redskins.
“After the conclusion of the Atlanta Falcons game on Sunday,” Georgia Dome spokesman Jason Kirksey said Tuesday, “a mishap occurred with an escalator at Upper Gate D inside the Georgia Dome causing several fans to suffer injuries.”
In a statement to Channel 2 Action News, Kirksey said about 30 fans were treated by medical personnel for minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
