Falling tree knocks out power in Tucker

A tree fell in Tucker and knocked out electricity to about 580 Georgia Power customers Friday night.

The lights went out shortly before 10 p.m., said Christy Ihrig, spokeswoman for the utility.

Crews were on the scene fixing the problem, and electricity was expected to be restored by about 1 a.m., Ihrig said.
