The Rev. Kevin Ezell has been elected president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Mission Board, based in Alpharetta.
Tim Dowdy, chairman of NAMB’s board of trustees and pastor of Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, said in a release that Ezell was selected based on his leadership abilities, integrity and passion for church planting and missions.
Ezell, 48, and his wife, Lynette, are the parents of five children. He earned his undergraduate degree from Union University in Jackson, Tenn.; a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas; and a doctorate of ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky.
