Expect delays during road and bridge construction

Cobb County police are directing traffic this week at a closed Pilot Travel Center and Wendy’s restaurant at Interstate 285 and Atlanta Road.

The Georgia Department of Transportation purchased the property as part of $15 million right of way acquisitions for a project to ease congestion at the interchange. Left turn lanes on Atlanta Road will be added to north and southbound lanes on I-285, and the interstate bridge will be replaced.
