Enrollment open for Cobb citizens police academy

Cobb County's next Citizens Public Safety Academy begins in September and interested residents have until July 20 to apply.

The program provides residents with firsthand knowledge about the organization of the fire, police, 911 and other public safety departments. Classes are held each Tuesday for 13 weeks beginning Sept. 4, and end with a graduation ceremony during the final session.
