Summer is baseball’s season, but in metro Atlanta that Georgia rain can spoil a good game.

Now in Alpharetta, baseball fans can enjoy America’s pastime in the rain or shine.

Last week the city in north Fulton County unveiled a baseball pavilion at Wills Park. The facility spans more than 6,000 square feet and includes several amenities for baseball fans of all ages.

“We are proud of the partnership and commitment between the Alpharetta Youth Baseball Association (AYBA) and the city, which provided a successful realization of this project,” said Scott Williamson, AYBA president.

The facility features eight batting cages, two pitching lanes, an open warm-up area and energy efficient LED lighting.

AYBA manages several baseball programs in conjunction with Alpharetta Recreation and Parks, including programs for ages 4-19 during the spring, summer and fall seasons.
