The burrito banditry appears to have been an inside job, police say.

Three suspects were arrested Wednesday in the armed robbery of Moe’s Southwest Grill at 9777 Ga. 92 in Woodstock on Nov. 2 -- and one of them was an employee of the restaurant.

Woodstock police arrested Brittany Hunt, 19, the employee who reportedly was held at gunpoint after taking the trash out the night of the incident.

Robert Bell, 20, and Randall Ruiz, 20, were taken into custody without incident by the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office during the execution of a search warrant at their Marietta home Tuesday afternoon.

On Nov. 2, police met with five Moe's employees who said a female employee was taking the trash out when she was approached by two males. The woman said she was held at gunpoint and forced back into the restaurant.

The two males forced the employees to the ground and demanded that the manager  remove money from the safe. The two men then fled out the back door. About $1,000 was taken.

A witness told police that she saw a dark Jeep Cherokee flee the scene at a high rate of speed around the time the armed robbery occurred. Nobody was injured during the incident, police said.

The three suspects are each charged with armed robbery, false imprisonment and conspiracy to commit a crime, police said. Hunt and Bell also are charged with aggravated assault.

The three, in custody at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center, also are suspects in crimes committed in surrounding jurisdictions, according to police.
