Emory launches free legal clinic for vets

A new student-founded clinic at Emory University School of Law has begun providing free legal services to Georgia veterans.

The Emory Law Volunteer Clinic for Veterans offers free legal assistance for disability benefit claims and appeal hearings. Students will also work with experienced attorneys on legislation and other initiatives to create an alternative court for state veterans involved in criminal proceedings, the school said.
