East Point will hold a special ceremony on Saturday to re-open Brookdale Park.
The park has been under construction during the past year, with crews refurbishing the basketball and tennis courts, adding new playground equipment and making improvements to the open water channel.
The ceremony runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday July 17 at the park, 1049 Jefferson Avenue.
There will be free tennis lessons after the ceremony, along with light refreshments.
