The city of East Point Fire Department was awarded a $1,000 grant from the national nonprofit Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition to increase its home fire sprinkler education locally by building a home fire sprinkler display. The portable display shows the inner workings of a home fire sprinkler system and can also be used to show homeowners how to do a flow test.

“With the support of the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition, and our talented staff, we will move forward with this

important public education display to help homeowners, builders and other community members understand how a home fire sprinkler system works,” said East Point Fire Chief William Ware.
