The East Point City Council will consider purchasing a new van during the regular meeting 6:30 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Station Council Chambers, 1526 East Forrest Ave. If approved, the city will purchase a 2017 Ford 15 passenger van for $39,387 for the Parks and Recreation department. The new van will replace the old which is in poor condition.

The council will also review a request for a special use permit to operate a child day care center at 2892 East Point Street. A public hearing will be held to consider this request and the first reading of several ordinance amendments.
