Voters in five Cobb County cities will soon have a chance to cast their ballots ahead of the Nov. 5 municipal elections.

Early voting begins Monday, Oct. 14 for elections in Austell, Acworth, Kennesaw, Powder Springs and Smyrna.

Acworth residents will vote at City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 14-18, Oct. 21-25 and Oct. 28 through Nov. 1. Acworth City Hall is at 4415 Senator Russell Avenue.

No voting will be held Monday, Nov. 4. Voting on Election Day in Acworth will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 at Roberts School at 4681 School Street.

Acworth residents have until Nov. 1 to request an absentee by mail ballot, and those ballots must be mailed to City Hall by Nov. 5. To request an absentee by mail ballot, call 770-974-3112, email rrussell@acworth.org or visit the Cobb County elections website.

Cobb County will handle elections for Austell, Kennesaw, Powder Springs and Smyrna. Early voting for elections in those cities will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 14-18, Oct. 21-25 and Oct. 28 through Nov. 1 at the Cobb Elections and Voter Registration Office at 736 Whitlock Avenue in Marietta.

Early voting expands Oct. 28 through Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:

•Austell Community Center at Collar Park, 2625 Joe Jerkins Boulevard, Austell.

•Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive,  Kennesaw.

•Powder Springs Community Development Building, 4488 Pineview Drive, Powder Springs.

•Smyrna Community Center, 200 Village Green Circle, Smyrna.

No voting will be held Monday, Nov. 4, and polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 for Election Day. Voters will cast ballots at their assigned city precincts.
