Early voting has begun for the Nov. 7 municipal elections in Henry County. City council seats are up for grabs in all four cities, and there are mayoral races in Hampton, Locust Grove and Stockbridge.
Polls will be open 8 a.m-5 p.m. weekdays at the Henry County Elections and Registration Building, 40 Atlanta Street in McDonough, through Nov. 3. Three additional locations will be open the same hours Oct. 30-Nov. 3: the Merle Manders Conference Center, 111 Davis Road in Stockbridge; the Fortson Library, 61 McDonough Street in Hampton; and the Locust Grove Library, 115 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Locust Grove.
For those who cannot vote on weekdays, there are opportunities Oct. 21, 28 and 29 at the main elections office as well as the Merle Manders Conference Center. Polls are open 8 a.m.-2 p.m. both Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Voters can cast their ballots at any of these locations, regardless of their city of residence, but must vote at their appropriate precincts Nov. 7. Polls will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. that day.
