Dunwoody just bought a new city hall building. Dunwoody Mayor Denis Shortal and City Manager Eric Linton both signed the final sale and closing documents last week to purchase the three acre lot and building at 4800 Ashford Dunwoody Road, which will soon be the city’s first wholly-owned city hall complex. The city purchased the 45,000 square foot building for $8.05 million.

With more square footage than the space currently leased by the city at 41 Perimeter Center East, the city plans to make modifications to the new building in the coming months to create office space for the entire city staff, police department, municipal court and city council. Following the completion of improvements to the building the city anticipates moving into the new space by spring 2018.
