Free Car Seat Inspection Event

The Dunwoody Police Department will host a car seat inspection event with music, a bounce house and free food and drinks.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, parents can stop by and have their child’s car seat or booster seat inspected for free by certified child safety seat technicians.
“Seven out of ten car seats are either installed incorrectly or are carrying a child that is not secured properly,” said Dunwoody police spokesman Officer Mark Stevens.
The on-site technicians will show parents the proper way to install the car seat and how to make sure your child is securely strapped in.
“Technicians will also check the expiration date of the seat,” Stevens said, “along with the most current recall list to make sure the seat (or any of its parts) has not been recalled.”
Free food and drinks will be available, and families can enjoy the music, bounce house and fun activities after their car seat is checked.
The event will be held in the parking lot at 6840 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Atlanta.
