Dunwoody police honor officers

Ten Dunwoody Police officers were recently honored by the department for outstanding work in 2013.

Officer Anthony “Kerry” Stallings was named Officer of the Year and earned a meritorious service medal for safely pulling a suicidal woman from a fifth floor parking deck in May. He also was Officer of the Quarter for the second quarter.

Other winners were Officer Brian Bolden, employee of the year; Sgt. Aaron Belt for marksman of the year; Sgt. Patrick Krieg for top cop in an in-house competition; Officer Terell Styles for rising star award; Officer Harold “Trey” Nelson for officer of the first quarter; Officer Christopher Irwin for officer of the third quarter and a meritorious service medal for saving a heart attack victim while off-duty; Officer Tim Fecht for officer of the fourth quarter and the chief’s award; Officer Danny Tedesco for meritorious service medal for helping save a man who collapsed with no pulse at a gym.; and officers Trey Nelson and Ian Fein for an in-house physical fitness challenge.
