Dunwoody’s Volunteer Coordinating Committee, set up in 2009, is now one of the city’s official advisory groups.

The committee helps encourage activity at various events and with different nonprofits, churches and schools. City Council formalized the committee on Monday.

Its role will remain the same, but also with more emphasis on civic needs.

The mayor and council will appoint people to the seven-member body. Three seats on the committee are now open.
