The Duluth Police Department has received a $38,900 state grant to bolster their program to reduce teen driving deaths.

The grant will provide funding for the police department’s Operation Drive Smart program, which will expand to 15 high schools across the state for the 2012 school year.

Duluth police said more than 150,000 Georgia teenagers have participated in the program over the years.
