The Duluth City Council recently authorized the Mayor and/or City Manager to execute an amendment to the current contract between the city and BFI Waste Services, LLC, d/b/a Republic Services of Georgia to provide a glass recycling pilot program on a month to month basis.

Most waste haulers in Gwinnett and the Recycling Bank of Gwinnett discontinued glass recycling services in 2016.

Approval of Duluth’s contract includes a contingency of $3,035 to cover delivery fee, up to eight hauls and monthly rental. The pilot program will begin in Jan. 2019.
