The large Chattapoochee Dog Park at Rogers Bridge Park in Duluth has reopened. The park closed in May for repairs to the fountain and sod repair. The misting fountain has been replaced and is now operational. Park officials are imploring, “All paws on watch to make sure the fountain is used appropriately.”

Former Chattapoochee Dog Park Mayor, Shiner, is requesting, “All humans are asked to do their duty and pick up their pet doodie!”

To help with this matter, the Parks and Recreation Department is collecting recycled plastic grocery bags for pet waste containers. Donations may be dropped off at the Bunten Road Park, 3180 Bunten Road or loaded directly into recyclable containers at the Dog Park by lifting the lid and stuffing bags inside.

Chattapoochee Dog Park Mayor Pro-Tem, Marley, says, “Bark any concerns to the Duluth Parks and Recreation Department at 770-814-6981.”
