The Duluth City Council approved $30,193 on Nov. 9 for continued infrastructure improvements at Bunten Road Park, 3180 Bunten Road. Improvements have been completed at the park with the exception of two retaining walls.
The first retaining wall will be constructed adjacent to the Activity Building overlooking soccer field 2, and the second wall will be constructed between the tennis courts. Both retaining walls are crucial for erosion control and bank stabilization.
The contract is awarded to Select Landscape with a 10 percent contingency. Unallocated SPLOST funds from the Bunten Road Trail and Parking Project will be accessed for completion of the two retaining walls.
