A woman was eating her lunch in the Chick-fil-A on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Duluth around 1:30 p.m. Friday when a car drove into the restaurant’s wall.

The woman sustained minor injuries and was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center.

An elderly woman had crashed into the Chick-fil-A while trying to get around another car, said Officer Ted Sadowski, a Duluth Police Department spokesman.

The driver was not injured and is not facing any criminal charges, Sadowski said. Because the Chick-fil-A parking lot is private property, the driver’s actions would have to be reckless in order for charges to be filed, Sadowski said. It is believed the incident was accidental.
