Two club employees were injured early Friday when they were pinned against the side of the Asylum nightclub on Flat Shoals Avenue by an out-of-control car that slammed into the building.

Channel 2 Action News reported that the driver of the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro was showing off and doing a “burnout” around 2 a.m. when he lost control of the car and hit the front of the East Atlanta club.

Two of the club’s bouncers were pinned against the building, and were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

The Camaro driver, Robby Manley, fled the scene on foot, but was found hiding nearby and arrested, according to Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones.

Manley, who complained of pain in his foot, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to render aid, failure to maintain lane and hit-and-run and taken to the Grady Memorial Hospital Denention Unit.
